Education and Training

Practical, plain-language training for the people around the person. You can come to us, or we can come to you.

For the people we support

Training built around your person

When we're working with someone, we also train the people who support them every day: family, support workers and other providers. It's specific to that person, their strategies and their plan, so everyone is on the same page and feels confident putting it into practice.

You come to us, or we come to you

  • At our Albury office
  • At your home, school, workplace or service
  • Online, when that suits better

Sessions can be one-off or ongoing, and we shape the content to your group.

Who we train

Training for everyone in the person's world

Want to understand what behaviour support is and how it helps? We tailor sessions to who's in the room.

Families and carers

Understanding behaviour, what's behind it and what helps, explained in plain words. We bring it back to your everyday life at home, so you feel more confident and less alone.

Schools, preschools and daycares

Practical sessions for educators on what behaviour support is, how to read what a child might be telling you, and how to work alongside families and practitioners.

Providers and support teams

For organisations wanting to build their team's understanding of PBS, restrictive practices and their role in a plan, from new starters through to experienced staff.

For NDIS providers · No cost

Free PBS training for providers

When every team around a person understands behaviour support, everyone does better. That's why one of our practitioners will come and sit down with your team, in person, for a free 60-minute session on current Positive Behaviour Support practice, with time for questions at the end.

It's open to all NDIS providers, registered or unregistered. It's a good fit if your team is asking:

  • What actually is Positive Behaviour Support?
  • What should we expect from the practitioner working with our participant?
  • How do we respond to behaviours of concern with more confidence?
